Privacy Policy

Account and identity. The display name, role and organisation you enter when joining a room, and an email address if you provide one for account recovery or notifications.

Content you upload. Audio files, video streams, artwork, documents and the track or cut metadata attached to them.

Feedback you submit. Notes, ratings and votes, including whether you chose to submit them anonymously.

Usage and listen logs. When playback starts on a track we record the listener, the track, the time and a device signature for the session. We also keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) needed to operate and secure the service.

Video session and watermark data. In a video room we also store the access code used to enter, the exact watermark payload displayed during that session (that code plus a live timestamp), your playback position as you watch, and the same device tag. This exists for access control and for tracing a leaked clip back to the session it came from.

To run rooms and playback; to show moderators who is in a room and who listened to what; to enforce access controls, expiry and revocation; to investigate abuse or a suspected leak; to keep the service secure and working; and to respond when you contact us.

Anonymous feedback stays anonymous to other room participants. It is stored without being displayed against your name.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data to third parties. We do not share your uploaded content with anyone outside the room it belongs to. We do not run advertising, and we do not build profiles for marketing purposes.

Content in a room is visible to that room's moderator and its current, non-revoked listeners. Listen logs, watch positions and watermark payloads are visible only to the room's moderator.

We use infrastructure providers for hosting, database, storage and email delivery. They process data on our instructions only. We may disclose data where legally required, and will tell the affected account where we are permitted to.

Uploaded audio, video and assets are kept until the room owner deletes them or closes the account, after which they are removed from active systems and fall out of backups on our normal backup cycle.

Listen logs and feedback are retained for the life of the room, since they are the accountability record for a session. Video session data — the access code used, the watermark payload shown, playback position and device tag — is retained on the same terms as the listen log, for the same reason. Technical security logs are kept for a limited period and then discarded.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Audio and video are streamed rather than handed over as files — audio through short-lived signed links, video through a locked player with a forensic watermark — and room access is enforced server-side on every request. More detail is on our security page.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Room owners can delete their rooms and content directly; for anything else, write to us and we will action verified requests within a reasonable period.
